We have done some partial fulfillments in ECI but unless we eventually ship all items, a sale will not be recorded and the customer will not be charged. Does anyone know how we can record these sales even if it turns out that we cannot complete the order?

We need to be able to charge only for what we ship, when we ship it.

Actually now I'm not sure about this. It looks like customers were charged even though the settings/prefs suggest that they wouldn't be.

The way that you can charge customers for partial shipments is to do a receipt (in Retail Pro) for the items that are being delivered and enter the SO # where it says SO#. The customer will be charged for those items, and on the SO the quantity sent will be updated to reflect what the customer has already paid for.
