I setup PPM at one of my locations with 3 Ingenico En-Crypt 2100's 2 wks ago and everything worked except for Debit Cards.  When a Debit Card tried to authorize, I received "Error-PLZ Call-437"  Paymentech said that it was an encryption error and stated that my PinPads should have been injected with the code that is setup on my account.  This was a different encryption code than what is default for Retail Pro.  Tech support sent out another Pinpads for me to test hoping that the issue may have been a corrupted key.  I went round and round for 3 days trying to figure what the issue was and finally decided to send my PinPads back to TASQ to get them injected with the Encryption Code that Paymentech said I should have.  I just received them back today and I am going to test once again.

Has anyone ever ran into this type of issue?

Dave,

You guys have, for some reason, a very unique encryption.  I am not sure this is best answered in the forum, as it is very unique to your situation.

Dan,

This is not unique to our system.  I have found out through tech support that other clients are starting to experience the same issue.  The problem is the PPM license file is not being verified for encryption key on customers Paymentech Account prior to injecting the Ingenico En-Crypt 2100.  I just paid for all of the Ingenico's that I purchased from OneStepData to be returned to TASQ for injection with the proper encryption key because the problem was thought to be with the Paymentech Account.

Dave,

TASQ tells us that your encryption key is different than other Paymentech customers, which is why I wrote what I did.  We normally use Paymentech, and have been encrypting their code for 2 years, but your code, for some reason, is different.

If there is something I can do to help, please let me know.

Paymentech has told me that every region now uses a different encryption code.  Anthony in Tech Support just advised me that he had the same issue with another customer yesterday.

I called and left you a message as I feel that this issue needs to be resolved offline before anything else can be posted to the forum.

I got your message, and I agree.  This appears to be an undocumented change by Paymentech, which we are now investigating.  I'll keep you posted, and when we have this solved, we'll post the final solution here.

The PinPads that were prior injected with Key#1 work fine.  Anything repaired by Ingenico and sent back to TASQ for injection of Key#194 does not work?

I have created a separate post for this new issue.

Is there a final solution in regards to this post?  Paymentech has sent me their config sheet and it clearly states Paymentech Division (needed for Proper PinPad encryption).  I have attached a copy of the form.

In the past, we used to be able to buy pinpads that were "Pre-injected" with Paymentech.  But recently (in fact, right at the time that it happened to you) Paymentech announced regionalized injection codes.  Paymentech tells me that that they will now begin informing us of the injection code which is a combination of region and type of business.

This means that we will now buy raw pinpads, get the injection code, and then send them to TASQ for injection.  That will add some time to the delivery of these, but the injection of pin pads is not allowed by just anyone - there is a lengthy certification process.  This is because the potential for fraud there is substantial.

So on that form, what you need to know is your processor's "injection code."

TASQ will no longer inject pinpads with DUKPT Key.  Now require 3DES key.  Received 3DES key from Paymentech and sent 7 Encrypt 2100's for injection.  TASQ returned PinPads stating firmware will not accept injection.  Called Ingenico tech support and firmware must be 3.01 or later.  Pinpads require to be sent in at $25 per unit for firmware upgrade.  Is there any possibility of getting the firware software as we have about 75 pinpads in production?  Do not want to go to the I3070 unless absolutely have to.  Dave
