While printing receipts on RPro 8.52 - SurePOS hardware, the printer will sometimes freeze before printing the receipt and the print progress bar shows on the screen as a grey box.  Only way to exit RPro is to cntrl-alt-del and restart.  I know that isn't a lot of info but its so random (but on all our WS).

Does the cashdrawer pop when you print? Are you able to open it by clicking on open drawer button?

We had the same problem. We had to update the printer drivers. We received the drivers from the company we bought it from. The drivers had to be downloaded onto a usb floppy drive. Once we downloaded the drivers, we turned the terminal off, hooked up the floppy drive, turned machine on, and the drivers downloaded automatically.

Hi RPROUSER,

The mentioned problem has a simple very simple solution, just go to the IBM Website and from the POS section download the latest OLE Drivers for your suremark printer, remember ordinary windows based drivers never work with IBM SureMark Printers.

I know your printer is conflicting with your Cash Drawer and both of the devices are binded to one COM Port. Try changing the COM Port and I am sure the problem will be solved.

For other posts please keep in mind that sometimes the printer USB power conflicts with computer's hardware USB Power and hence the printing is paused, and once the system restarts it continues the pending print jobs.

This problem is very comon in Samsung Bioxlon printers. I usually install USB-Virtual COM Drivers for the printer.

I hope you have understood what I was saying in my post.

Regards,

Syed Waqas Ahmad
