I am getting grief from management about a business process pertaining to the completion of a sale using retail pro version 8 merchant edition. Somehow, at the end of the day, when they go to X-out, the system is showing I am consistently ringing up cash sales incorrectly as travelers check sales which throws off the balance. Explaining equipment malfunction to retail managers is like explaining applied science to a monkey, so I was hoping to find this to be a common problem so that I may offer some constructive feedback instead of just taking the blame. We are using legacy NCR systems with touch screens and despite recalibration performed by yours truly, and the fact that the travelers check button is inches away from any other functioning buttons, I consistently get the blame from these people who are of lesser abilities and professionalism. When a Debit Card tried to authorize, I received "Error-PLZ Call-437"  Paymentech said that it was an encryption error and stated that my PinPads should have been injected with the code that is setup on my account.  This was a different encryption code than what is default for Retail Pro.  Tech support sent out another Pinpads for me to test hoping that the issue may have been a corrupted key.  I went round and round for 3 days trying to figure what the issue was and finally decided to send my PinPads back to TASQ to get them injected with the Encryption Code that Paymentech said I should have. Due to an isolated encryption key issue with my Paymentech account, I had to send the PinPad in to TASQ for Reinjection of Key #194.  I received that PinPad back from TASQ and the PinPad would not talk to the OPOS driver.  The PinPad booted up to the basic test app from Ingenico and said "Waiting for Online".  Normally, the PinPad would say "Ready".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anybody know if Key #1, when injected, also downloads the OPOS app to the Ingenico En-Crypt 2100?  If not, how do I get the PinPad to function properly after being returned from repair? I am the alpha geek here, so I have all permissions as an administrator.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;All EFT options were greyed out.  When I logged in as Sysadmin, the ws prefs page was enabled and I was able to click "PPM runs on this server", and get the credit card dialage back.  I logged out, back to my usual personality, and the EFT options greyed out again.  I made up a new personality as a power user/admin, saved it, registered Rpeo8.sec, saved, rebooted.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Restarted Rpro with new personality; still no ppm ability.  &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The only thing that has changed recently is a) upgraded from 8.51 to 8.52, and b) been mucking with an evening backup.bat that has a taskkill line for shutting down the im ppmsrvr.exe.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Any thoughts?  Does something need to be re-indexed?
