| | Recently I've been recieving range check errors everytime someone else logs on to Rpro, in order bypass this I reboot, this helps for a few minutes but it still comes back to the point its not useable. Only way I can manage is to not have people log out which makes things very difficult to track. I've tried several things this only happens on my workstations 2 and 3, I've regenerated IX files, re-installing, and I still get this. Is something in my database corrupt? Have anyone else had this type of trouble?? thnx |

| | 99% of the time rebooting handles the problem. (Rebooting server as well) 2nd cause could be data corruption, and 3rd could be a corrupt shortcut. Make sure Retail Pro from the shortcut is running out of the \retail folder NOT the \retail\rpro folder.

| Hi!
Range Check error will display all the time when your trying to access a data coming from a higher version. It had happen to us most of the time when we will copy Sales data coming from different client. To resolve this you need to run that particular history data from any higher updates of your retail pro.

| | Yes. the 2 that are getting the error do not have a CISP version of Retail Pro. (CC#s encrypted) You need to apply the same update that the other store is on, on them. If you had previously updated them, you should check the shortcut as there was also a problem with the 8.52 install disk where it put a copy of rpro8.exe in the rpro folder. This copy is a .22 version, and if the store's shortcuts are pointing to it, it will also get the error.

| The updater was discontinued a few years ago. All updates to Retail Pro must be applied manually. If you don't have the update files, contact your dealer to get them.
