| Now that the PT2000 scanners are discontinued, what do you all use for inventory? I saw somewhere the Palm JanamXP20. Does this work and do you recommend it? Also, does it need any special programming to work with Retail Pro like the PT2000's did?
Thanks in advance! |

| | Hi, Already heard the Retail Mobile Suite? You can install this program to a windows mobile device capable of scanning, like the Pegaso data collector. You can then perform all the transactional documents in retail pro (v8 or v9) including Physical Inventory. The process is simple: scan the items , put the device it in its cradle, synchronize the scanned items, open a new transaction - (say Outslip or Add Counts in the PI), select a session, then lastly click the Retailpro Barcode button to list all the scaned items for that transaction. I can send you the documentation if you are interested. Regards, Antonio Q. Asuncion, Jr. |

| Sure. Please email me the info to aokword2@yahoo.com
Also, I understand the Janam-XP30 should work out of the box with Retail Pro v8, but there's an update to it that is needed to work properly. Can anyone point me in the right direction to acquire this?
Thanks! |
